Star Release is a kekkei genkai in which the user can control otherworldly energy and great beams of light. With this technique, a user can blind the opponent, hit the opponent with falling "stars", or can be used to create a aurora genjutsu. This is mostly a night technique, wheras only the very proficient can preform this during the day.

The Star Release kekkei genkai first originated in Konoha from the Nakeshi clan. As the clan spread out more throughout he land, so did this technique. Many are able to wield this kekkei genkai throughout Konoha. One such example being Ling and her father, Ryu. Ninja or not, one descended from the Nakeshi line has the ability to learn this.
